AUTOPUBLIÉ
Pica magazine présente une collection de publication indépendante conçue en série par des designers graphiques et artistes. Dans un monde où l’information numérique prend une grande place et où l’imprimé connaît un essor, Pica magazine souhaite soulever la question du futur de l’imprimé et de ces possibilités encore inexploitées. L’exposition Autopublié sera véhicule d’idées, d’esthétiques sur l’objectification contemporaine de l’information et de son organisation. Les participants inclus:

Palimpsest Magazine présente une sélection de livres d’artistes et de magazines par des maisons d’éditions et distributeurs internationaux réputés. Ils seront aux côtés des travaux publiés indépendamment par les artistes du Magazine PICA, l’exposition contextualise le travail des designers et des artistes locaux à l’intérieur d’une communauté internationale en pleine effervescence qui partage un intérêt pour les qualités artistiques des fines publications imprimées à petits nombres.

Dark Night of the Soul is a multi-discplinary endeavour which includes a conceptualized music compilation by producers Danger
Mouse and Sparklehorse alongside the photography of iconoclastic film maker David Lynch. Bringing movement to Lynch’s images,
the exhibition will be premiering as an interactive video installation by noted Montreal-based producer Jean-Luc Della
Montagna.
The imagery, as haunting as the soundscape, comes to life in a series of 13 short films, documented in collaboration with director
Louis-Phillippe Eno. Invited to work alongside Lynch, each piece was shot on Super 8 film. “Our only light source was a
lantern,” says Della Montagna, an aspect which adds to this unconventional yet remarkable project. The imagery, as surreal as
its soundscape, introduces the viewer to ambiguous situations and ominous subjects- a definite extension of the genre unique to
Lynch.
An atmospheric experience, the exhibition will be accompanied by the original Dark Night of the Soul soundtrack which collectively
features guest vocalists including Frank Black (The Pixies), Julian Casablancas (The Strokes), Vic Chesnutt, Iggy Pop,
Suzanne Vega, Nina Persson (The Cardigans), and more.
Dark Night of the Soul launches with a performance by DJ Why?Alex?Why on Thursday, September 30th from 6 to 9 pm. The
exhibition will be closing on Sunday, October 3rd from 5 to 7 pm with a special performance by singer/song writer Mekele. All
are welcome.
A series of rings and pendants that are raw, tooled and cut rough by hand, resemble crystal mountains and illusory weapons. Heavy rocks of .925 are finished to a high polish, and juxtaposed against oxidized black. The sombre colour palette of silver .925 and black natural forms of jet crystal and black obsidian are interspersed with the blues and purples from carved pieces of paua shell.

son nouveau deux pièces.
Le samedi 12 et le dimanche 13 juin,
les créateurs se penchent sur leurs papiers
avec une application sans repos.
Du 18 juin au 18 juillet,
l'origamimobilier est exposé
en tout confort à votre curiosité.
