GUESS I'M DOING FINE (JEREMY BLAKE)

This album is genius. Beck's heavily depressive break-up songs just soothe me with a sonic blanket of comfort, when i'm lost. But the artwork of this album is as equally grand with it's pictoral representation of withdrawal with abstract forms and translucide vibrant colors. Jeremy Blake, the artist behind this cover has an array of gloomy work himself. His digital artwork can be seen in some of Beck's videos for "Sea Change" and also in "Punch Drunk Love" by Paul Thomas Anderson. In 2007, Blake died by walking into the Atlantic ocean from a beach in the Bronx 10 days after his girlfriend commited suicide. Apparently. Bret Easton Ellis And Gus Van Sant picked up his life and death to make a film...

RETOUR AU CANADA

Fall is here and so am I. I just got back in town and ready for a seasonal cocoon of work tainted by European experiences. Going to Berlin brought me hope and ambition to constantly reinvent, Copenhagen awakened my faded youth, Sweden gave me class and a skill to budget, Sicily showed me the power of nature and the beauty of the human body, Amsterdam... well nothing really. Brussels gave me the motivation to save up money for another trip and to end a certain misfortune. In the meantime i will work on projects and use this space as a platform to test my results. Fell free to comment, good or bad, i will take it all. Now make yourself comfortable, remove your leather jacket grab an apple cider and enjoy.

You can start with this exhibition i have participated in collaboration with my sister Dang at Atelier Punkt. The works consist of the reinterpretation or the appropriation of the classic school notebook "cahier Canada". You can check our portraits and the pieces of 34 other local creators.
